Everyone was ready to witness history in the days before head, ordering the fight through their TV provider (which was $100 USD), pre-order tickets/call ahead/cover charges to their favorite bars and restaurants, or get on their favorite social media site. Wait, why would anyone in the world pay to watch this fight or leave to fight traffic when you could just watch it on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, etc. Well because TECHNICALLY you're not suppose to and it's piracy, which is illegal. Due to the advanced technology and competing features of each social media site, you are able to live stream the fight onto your account, just requires you to purchase the pay-per-view or go to a bar/restaurant to watch it. Although each live stream account was shut down when compromised, there's 1.23 billion monthly active Facebook users and only a small team of professionals searching through all of social media to limit the viewing of the fight to paid subscribers. Of course we can not put all the blame on Facebook, I personally saw people posting the fight to their Instagram and Snapchat stories consistently. True this isn't live, due to a delay of the post, but this is still a different way of watching then having to pay for the fight. This fight has taught us that "live" streaming is going to kill the pay-per-view market because it just takes one person to purchase the event to live stream to millions. So if you purchased, or watched the fight with someone/somewhere that purchased the fight, good for you. If you facetimed your best friend or jumped into one of these live feeds to watch the fight...shame on you.
